I had the pleasure to work with Mark Lee when he spoke at Morison KSi’s first conference in Bucharest. Mark addressed our delegates (over 180 accountants) on how to STAND OUT and the session was extremely well received. Mark is very energetic and engaging and provided delegates with lots of tips! Mark also facilitated a marketing interest group focusing on social media – again Mark did a fantastic job at leading the session and his wealth of experience was very impressive.

Mark Lee strode onto the stage at our ICPA Conference with a huge smile, a few props and a welter of help and advice to impart to the delegates.

At the end the smiles were on the faces of the delegates, myself included, because they had just enjoyed a thought provoking, intelligent and entertaining seminar from a man frankly at the top of his game.

I watched as the audience laughed whilst making copious notes and at no time were they talked down to or indeed sold to.

Mark is one of the best accountancy speakers I have seen/heard. As an accountant himself with 25 years in practice he really understands the profession and tailors his talks to his audience. As a ‘futurist’ his talks are full of balanced opinions, debunking, and practical advice. His presentations are polished and there’s even something magical about them, which may be something to do with his hobby as a member of the Magic Circle.

Mark recently attended one of our partner’s meetings and shared with us his views and experiences of various social media, and how they might be used to help us to attract new clients – and staff!. He dispelled some of the myths and pointed us in the right direction on a number of matters. Now all we need to do is to implement what we learned. Failing that, we’ll just have to get him back to motivate us again!

Over the years I’ve heard so much about Mark and certainly a lot of his articles seem to make good sense to me.

But I’d never met or seen Mark present until last week. I have to say, Mark is a great speaker, able to hold the attention of an audience but more importantly able to stimulate thought and discussion on where the accountancy profession is headed.

Mark gave a superb keynote presentation on ‘How to get more of the referrals you really want’ at our recent EMEA Regional Conference in Budapest (May 2022). Our audience of senior and managing partners from accounting and law firms across 40 countries scored Mark VERY highly (as did I!) for not only his compelling content, but also his entertaining style of delivery. He brought a high level of energy to the room and kept everyone engaged for the duration. Mark was also extremely flexible and unflappable when his session’s timing was different to the original plan- this was really appreciated. I have always much enjoyed your professional presentations and you certainly manage to hold the audience’s attention – particularly in an interactive environment. It is a relaxed and enjoyable event – and as such certainly conducive to learning!

As an accountant also, I have known many qualified individuals but very few can demonstrate Mark’s level of achievement within the profession. I have known Mark Lee for almost 15 years. He is a first-rate speaker and seminar leader and has real in-depth understanding of the accountancy profession. His knowledge and experience also make him an excellent consultant.

Having read so many of his articles, Mark’s session at Accountex was the one I was most looking forward to. He was every bit as fascinating, interesting and motivating as I had hoped, and I am very much looking forward to reading his ebook.

Mark is an excellent professional speaker, an expert on how to stand out in your chosen profession, how to differentiate yourself and be more that just another professional providing a certain service.

I haven’t actually hired Mark, I had the chance to listen to his lecture ‘How to stand out and be more than just another lawyer’ at Legalex 2014, in London, and I have to say I was really impressed by his inventive approach (for example, he compared lawyers to a deck of cards: from the back they are all the same, but if you turn them, you start seeing all the differences) and by his creative ideas on how to stand out, how to differentiate yourself in a profession where the competition is extremely strong, due also to the high number of people.

The most important reason why I would recommend Mark as a professional speaker is that what he says can be truly applied to one’s profession and get actual results. Plus, listening to one of his lectures is a really entertaining experience!

I attended the ICAEW annual conference on Friday and found Mark’s lecture on ‘Working the Room’ particularly interesting. For me your lecture was my favourite. It was great to reaffirm that as a firm we were on the right track but also to take away other points to try. Next year I would love to hear a lecture from Mark on Social Media for Accountants? I have also had a look on the website and there are is really interesting and useful facts which I will be sure to research.
